Winemaking is led by Hernán Amenábar, Chief Winemaker at Undurraga and Chef de Cave for Undurraga ranges of New World sparkling wines. He is supported by Rafael Urrejola, winemaker in charge of the T.H. project and Carlos Concha, author of Aliwen reserve wines. Renowned winemaker Alvaro Espinoza is responsible for making Altazor, our icon wine.
The reputed French winemaker Philippe Coulon is our international consultant on sparkling wines, whereas the renowned terroir specialist Pedro Parra helps us selecting the lands, and viticulture consultant Roberto Pizarro is another member of our team of experts.
On the Santa Ana Estate in Talagante are located Viña Undurraga state of the art facilities for carrying out the fermentation, development, ageing and bottling processes for both still and sparkling wines. Beautiful underground cellars that date back to the winery's founding days in the XIX century provide a special setting for the barrel ageing of our Reserve wines.
Thanks to our experienced winemaking team and modern facilities with capacity for 20 million litres, Undurraga has developed quality wines of international renown which satisfy a wide range of tastes.
