Good wine comes from good grapes and they in turn come from good vineyards. In this whole process, the soil is key.
With a total surface area of 1,854 hectares spread across Chile's best wine-producing areas, Undurraga's agricultural activity takes place in estates which are dedicated exclusively to growing and producing the finest wine grapes.
Our vineyards are located in the most reputed wine areas: Maipo Valley (Santa Ana Estate in Talagante), Alto Maipo (La Higuera Estate), Maipo Costa (Codigua Estate), Colchagua (Colchagua and El Huique Estates), Almahue in Cachapoal (Cerros de Almahue Estate), Leyda in San Antonio (Lomas de Leyda Estate) and in Cauquenes, Maule (El Tutuvén Estate).
All of these vineyards have been especially selected by our winemaking teams because the characteristics of their soil have made them ideal for specific varieties. We use precision agriculture methods to study the special qualities of these soils.
